Motorcycle owners are being asked to be extra vigilant with bike security following an increase in thefts.
Owners are being asked to make sure their bikes are secure at all times.

Crime prevention sergeant Pauline Sturman, of Northamptonshire North police, said: "Bikes have been taken out of gardens and if owners can use a garage they should do so.

"It would also be useful for owners to adopt other means of securing their bike rather than relying on a steering lock.

"It is always beneficial to arm the bike with an alarm or consider identity marking of the main parts of the bike with the vehicle identification number."
